Fav. trail: Ouachita Trail
Fav. race: SSWC 09
Best Finish: all of them
Favorite riding food: peanut butter sandwiches
Riding goals: To finish. to have an authentic experience
Why do you ride? That's a good question.
Advice for beginners: Suspension is nice, but expensive. Gears are nice, but expensive. Please don't ask me for any more advice, just go ride.

Worst wipeout: My pant leg snagged in the chainring of my fixed gear bike. I couldn't stop and my pant leg kept winding into the chainring more and more with each revolution of the pedals. Finally I went over the handlebars. I wasn't wearing a helmet. I got a concussion and a really sweet black eye. In fact the only black eye I've ever had, despite numerous tries. When I came to, there was a man standing over me saying, "If I hadn'ta seen that bike light flashin' on the ground, I'da run you over." I remember thanking him for not running me over and rolling my pant leg up to ride the rest of the way home. I don't remember riding home. I still have those pants. Wear a helmet.
